Zamak (primarily Zamak 3 and Zamak 5) provides an exceptional balance of mechanical strength, design flexibility, and manufacturing efficiency. Its low melting point and excellent fluidity allow for high-pressure die-casting of intricate, thin-walled, and complex shapes with tight tolerances. This reduces the need for extensive secondary machining. Additionally, Zamak has excellent surface-adhesion properties, making it an ideal base for premium electroplating (e.g., chrome, nickel) and powder coating. A "480-hour NSS rating" means the finished plating (such as copper-nickel-chrome or PVD coating) resists corrosion, blistering, and red rust for 20 days of continuous exposure.
